Technicko (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Smart Auto Tagging Shopify application and the Order Status Automator BigCommerce application (collectively, the “Apps”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Apps.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our automation services, the Apps access the following data via authorized APIs:

  • Order Information: Order IDs, statuses, total prices, payment methods, shipping methods, and line item details.
  • Customer Information: Contact email, customer IDs, and customer group labels (used only for rule-based automation).
  • Store Information: Your store name, primary email, and domain.
  • Inventory Information (Order Status Automator): Variant-level stock levels used for backorder condition evaluations.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data strictly for the following purposes:

  • To execute the automation rules you create (e.g., applying order tags or updating order statuses).
  • To maintain your app installation and session.
  • To provide technical support and troubleshooting.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage, Location & Security

All data is processed and stored in AWS infrastructure located in the US-East-1 (N. Virginia)region. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS). Order details are processed in real-time to match your rules. We do not store permanent copies of your customers' personally identifiable information (PII) beyond what is required to perform the service and maintain your account configuration.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

In accordance with platform requirements and privacy regulations, we support the following:

  • Data Access: We can provide a summary of data we hold for your account upon request.
  • Data Deletion: If you uninstall either App, your store configuration data is automatically scheduled for deletion within 30 days, in accordance with Shopify and BigCommerce GDPR mandatory webhook requirements.
  • Retention Period: Active session and configuration data is retained for the lifetime of your installation.

5. Platform-Specific Data Handling

Smart Auto Tagging (Shopify)

This app complies with Shopify's Partner API requirements, including mandatory GDPR webhooks for customer data requests, customer data deletion, and shop data deletion.

Order Status Automator (BigCommerce)

This app operates under the BigCommerce app framework via signed OAuth handshakes. All API calls are scoped to the permissions granted during installation.

6. Merchant Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

  • Right of Access: You may request a summary of all data we hold about your store.
  • Right to Portability: You may request your configuration data in a structured format.
  • Right to Erasure: You may request complete deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or uninstalling the App.
